Some of the on-going Initiatives and Programmes are as follows:
Gujarmal Modi Community Opthalmic Research Centre
Eye diseases take a high toll in India. The Opthalmic Centre at Modinagar, with the National Society for Prevention of Blindness - affiliated to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences - conducts surveys and studies eye diseases. There are 48 beds in the general wards, 10 private wards and 2 airconditioned wards. 2 Operation theatres with the latest equipment and 4 examination rooms for outdoor patients.
A long felt need was recently met by the opening of a Maternity & Child Welfare Centre at Modinagar. A wide range of gynaecological and paediatric problems are tackled and special importance given to the immunisation of children and guidance on family welfare for ladies. 5% of the total 25 beds are reserved for research cases. Special problems like premature deliveries receive highly qualified attention.
Modi Science Foundation
Founded by the late Gujarmal Modi for the pursuit of Scientific research which he felt could relieve India from its burden of poverty. The Foundation is engaged in doing research in various fields.
Modi Rural Development Institute
The Group is totally committed to the upliftment of the backward and less fortunate of Society. Under a Government recommended scheme, some 30 villages in Ghaziabad, Meerut and Rai Barelli have benefitted from a mass education campaign.
The Laxmi Narayan Temples
As dusk falls, people from all roads can be seen moving towards an imposing red sandstone temple - The Laxmi Narayan Temple - to give thanks to their Maker. A similar temple has been built at Patiala - the original home of the late R. B. Multanimal Modi, who shifted from Kannaud and started a flour mill at Patiala.
Other fields of endeavour include soil conservation, forestry, milk production and animal husbandry. Some noted achievements were registered with the establishment of a 50 acre Gaon Sabha farm, a Panchayat Udyog, a veterinary dispensary, a library and a fishery at
Talheta.

An independent, non-profit, non-governmental organisation, the RBGM Foundation was set-up in 1996 with the commitment to prevent the spread
of HIV/AIDS, enhance awareness and erase the myths and misconceptions surrounding it.
